Octopus by Don Moyer

 This piece has been on hold as I think I just need to restart it. I don't like how I shaded the Octopus. It was a quick stitch and would be a perfect travel project. Maybe navy thread this time instead of the black....

Shall I Start Again?

 I started this project in January as a gift for my oldest son. 

I originally was stitching on white fabric, but thought it  was too stark. So I attempted to dye it. And made a mess. So, do I just start again? It was relatively fast and easy to stitch. Or should I try to fix it? 

I'm thinking seaweed in the background to cover up the lines of dye. And french knots in sand color up front...What do you think?

I have been working on this piece for my son. I liked it until I dyed it with chia seeds. (Don't ask.) But a friend sees potential. I  am working on some other projects as gifts and when they are done, I will pull this back out. I need to pull threads for seaweed and shells....
