WIPocalypse Post May 2023

This is a fun Sal hosted by Melisa over at Measi's Musings

I messed up last month and answered the wrong question. The question this month is What project brings you the most joy and why? Hmmm. That is difficult for me as they all make me happy..But if I have to pick one, it would be my HAED:

I know I have tons of mistakes and I may never finish it, but I like making even a tiny bit of progress on it.

I have stitched a bit on Betsy Ross Needlebook:

Drawn Thread Sampler:

Finished Garden Chair:

Pour ta Fete:

I started a new Mill Hill:

And made progress on Shimmering Dreams:

Quite a bit of stitching!

Some Mill Hill Progress

I have been working on this Jim Shore Santa:

I hadn't spent much time on it, but I had a bunch of time on Saturday to work on it:

I feel like I can actually complete this soon.

TUSAL May 2023

Well it is time for the Totally Useless SAL!

This is where you post a photo of your orts.

Here is mine:

I have been plugging away on my Shimmering Dreams. I need to add red to the top triangle. I think I have caught up with the assignments.

Gifted Gorgeousness May 2023

I have been working on Pour ta Fete. My goal is to finish it in 2023. We will see how that goes. I love stitching on it but made the fatal mistake of not going with my gut and doing it all in red.

I like how it looks, but am not in love and doubt I will hang it on my wall.

I also have another dilemma; do I add to the piece? Do I personalize it? There are lots of empty spaces and I think the girl who originally stitched it got tired of the piece and just wanted it done. Since I don't love it, should I just stitch it as charted and move on? Or should I add something that makes it more "me"?

Oh! GG is the brainchild of the lovely Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching We are to post something that has to do with gifts on the 15th of the month or there about.....

Quaker Hornbook by Ellen Chester

The Tudor Rose Sampler Guild offered this and as I had already passed it up once, I decided to jump in and join the fun.

Struggling

I am having a difficult time with this piece. I just started the next section and realized I do not like the colors. I will need to pull out my seam ripper...
