 I read on the Internet that tonight is a Dark Moon. Interesting. This is the time we post a picture of our orts.

 Well, it's time for the Totally Useless SAL-a time to post a picture of your orts 

I keep an ort bowl next to me during Zoom meetings and the combine with regular ort jar.

 It's the new moon so it's time for the Totally Useless SAL- TUSAL. This is the day we post photos of our orts. I didn't empty my jar at the beginning of the month:

 Wow! 2024 flew by! I was able to complete 22 projects (at least the way I count!) I need to post my last finish of the year. Here's my jar of orts.

It's quite full. I have an idea for a project. Maybe I can use my orts in it.

 Well yesterday was the New Moon but I didn't see the sky because of all the snow!

But the Totally Useless SAL i can be posted at any time so here we go!

I have now dumped all those orts and am starting fresh for the new year.

Today is TUSAL November 2023

 I love this SAL! All you need to do is post a photo of your orts. I love seeing all the bits of thread I have left from stitching during the month. Not that I post my ort bowl monthly, although I rarely post it monthly!

 I don't know if you can see, but this bowl has a ton of sparkly threads from my hearts. I hope to have them finished here soon.

 Well it is time for the Totally Useless SAL!

I have been plugging away on my Shimmering Dreams. I need to add red to the top triangle. I think I have caught up with the assignments.

 I finally looked up when the date for the new moon so I wouldn't forget to post my orts for the month!

November 2022 TUSAL

 It is the New Moon and therefore time for the Totally Useless Stitch a Long.

All you need to do is post a photo of your orts which are the bits leftover from crafting.

So I had to do some ripping on my painted canvas. I didn't like how the thread looked on one of the sections:

So I ripped it and at the suggestion of Gary over on FiberTalk suggested stitching one strand of DMC floss on the background (here is the back):

I definitely think it is an improvement.
