Taking Over My Life.....

I have spent most of my spare time working on this block.  As I look at it, I see that is has lots more work.  The bottom section is too light; it needs beads, or flowers or something.  The upper left corner(above my brazilian flower)is blank.  Also need more on the striped fabric.  The seam to the bottom left is blank and needs some ribbon or something.  All this takes time, but I am loving the process.  

Mail Art Play Day

I needed to get some cards made so my dd and I played this afternoon.  The white card on the top is just gessoed.  The next two have a few layers, but are not done yet.  The two on the left are finished and ready for a message and to be mailed.  It was fun and great to bounce ideas off my artsy daughter.

Crazy Quilt Mistakes

 This first block is a reject.  I was really beginning to like it and see great potential, but I found several of my seams were falling apart.  Lesson learned:don't over trim the seams!

This is my next attempt.  I have a big piece of lace to add and lots of beads. (Surprised?) These blocks are taking over all my stitching time and I find myself unable to sleep because I am thinking of what I need to add to the block...
  I need to get back to Ghost Dancer as it is so close to being finished.

 These are photos of lace bits that I am thinking of adding to my crazy quilt.

This one is ok, but not my favorite.

 DD and I love this one, but is it too wide?

The piece of lace could be cut up which seems a shame as I am pretty sure it is hand made.  The lace on the quilt to the right is ok, but does not grab me. 
I think I may end up opting for the smaller piece and adding from there.  I am still not sure about this block as a whole.  I am working on another one which has more fabric repeats.  I think I will like it better...

A Little Bit of Crazy

 This is my crazy quilt block. It needs some more work.  Sharon suggested a doily to break up the line on the right and the central motif.  If I can get some time, I will try again.

I finished the borders on Ghost Dancer!!! Now I need to start filling the pots with stitches.  Good busy work.

Because I am Crazy...

I signed up for a crazy quilt class with Sharon B.  This is a bad photo of my fabric choices.  What I need to do is place them on my scanner and do a black and white copy.  That might help.

Two More Bands

I was able to get two bands stitched, but I still need to cut some extra threads off the edges.
