It needs a lot of work, but I decided to play with this piece by Ariane Zurcher.

Well...

 I succumbed.

It's a small start. I need to write down the fabric I am using along with the threads.

The Urge to Start New Things

 I so want to start something new. Why? No clue.

I'm trying to be good but it's so hard!

IHSW Progress April

 Well, I got a little done on my planned projects and added a new WIP to the pile.

My local guild has a wool applique workshop with the Woolen Needle. It was great fun!

I now wish I had bought another one in a different colorway.

 Here's my start for the weekend:

I Thought I Was Halfway

 

But even if you don't include the borders, I need to get at least two more sections of the brocade stitched to be halfway done with the piece. Oh, and I am ignoring the fact that there are beads, lots of beads in the brocade.

March is Done!

 

I find this piece addicting. I also find it relaxing.

I am so enjoying this project!

Yard Work

 I spent most of the day helping my husband with yardwork. Hopefully I will get some stitching done before I collapse.

I love the frills and orange color.

Deciding on Colors

 I'm not sure this will work. I will add the other corners and then the center stitch. I may have to rip it all out but that's part of the process.

Lots and Lots of Blue

 Working on Modern Folk Embroidery No Time Like the Present SAL.

Changed the moon from the red to a golden color. I think it works better.

Lesson One is Almost Done

 I finished the last hill except for getting threads buried.

I Like It

 I changed the black to DMC 814. I like it. Now to get another motif done.

Ripping

The first photo is my first attempt to change the black line of stitching. Every time I looked at it, I didn't like it. The first one was too red so I changed it to DMC 814. Perfect 
 

March Calendar

 Nothing exciting, but I did want to show my March Calendar.

February is Done!

 So I am a month behind on Modern Folk Embroidery 2024 SAL. But it's fun to stitch and I'm enjoying the process.

Outlines Done!

 I feel so accomplished!

Now to work on the brocade.
