The Time Is Now!-CLOSED

The last day of February seemed perfect for doing my blog give-a-way.
First, the rules! You must comment on this post to be entered into the drawing.Only one entry per person. I will give you a week to comment here and then do my drawing on March 7. It will be done with a random number generator. You must comment as a person, not as anonymous!
Here are some of the prizes:
Thread Sampler from  Colour Complements:
Aren't they lovely?
Next up, a box of floss from Nancy of Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe.

I will also include some project bags that a gal from my guild makes.

And then a few other things that I thought you all might like. Which I will surprise you with when I mail the package!
And this is my 1000 official post, so I am pretty excited! Thanks for visiting my blog and for each of you that enters.

Winter Progress

I have not had much stitching time as we have some plumbing issues at our house. The joys of home ownership! But I did get something done! Here is what it looked like last week:
 And here it is today!
Love how this looks and I am hopeful I can get it done before the end of the week. Well, if no more plumbing problems occur!

Monday Mill Hill And a Small!

Well, I had time to start and finish this piece. I went to see my parents and it was the perfect piece to have out as we watched tv or talked.
I think I did the bottom row wrong, but it is so tiny, it doesn't matter. Now I need to make it into a card and have it ready to mail away this fall. Which reminds me; I think I have another small Mill Hill that needs to be finished as a card. Where did I put it?
If you want to see more smalls, look at Stitching Lotus
Heather hosts this stitch a long and it is fun to see everyone's work.

Friday Night Frogging

I am so sad. I keep having to rip out stitching on this panel. I need to make sure when I work on this again, I have GREAT lighting and no distractions.
Here is where I am leaving off for tonight:
I ripped out a band of long armed cross stitch and most of the center motif.
I am going to bed. Tomorrow will be better, I am sure.

Monday Mill Hill SAL

This is my latest Mill Hill project. I needed something to carry with me that is easy to stitch. I haven't started yet, but think I will soon.
I have had this for years so it is time to stitch it up!

Gifted Gorgeousness and TUSAL

Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching hosts this stitch a long. You are supposed to stitch things that are gifts-either gifted to your or you are gifting to someone else. I stretched it as Balthasar is bringing a gift to the Christ Child. That counts, right?
I have managed to do some beading, but I need a new Mill Hill project to carry along when I need a small project.
Today is also TUSAL by Daffy Cat
You share your orts from the month. It is totally useless, but fun to see what everyone else is doing. Crazy, I know. Here is my jar:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Gay Ann Rogers is having her annual Hearts sale. You can find it HERE
I love stitching her hearts. I have one on the frame, but not much work to show. Hopefully before the end of the month I may have progress...But here is a set that I think I bought last year.
No one to stitch them for YET!

No Monday Update

I had a bad weekend. Why, you may ask? Was I sick? Was my family sick? No. It did snow a lot:

But the bad news was that I cout my ground on my large HAED piece. I am working on fixing it.
First I unwound the thread:

Then I buried it under my stitching:

Now I need to stitch around the section before I reweave in a new thread. Be careful with your scissors!

And Now to the Beading!

I haven't been working on much lately, except Balthasar.
I took my bead box downstairs earlier this month, but now I need to get it back upstairs so I can get the bling going on this piece.

An Update or WIP Wednesday

I was able to finish all the parts on Autumn for the Tall Year Square Study group in my guild. The piece is going to be tiny!
It needs backing and I  pulled my eyelets too much, but aren't the colors lovely?
Blog give-away update: I decided to hold the give-a-way on February 28. I will post what I am giving away and all the details that day. I will be close to 1000 posts-maybe a little over-but I just needed to pick a day and stick with it!
Ok, back to stitching!

Mill Hill Monday

I was able to see some progress on this piece because I was able to do some serious stitching on Saturday while my family skied!
Here is where we left off:
And here is where I am today:
I challenged my local guild to try to stitch on a project for 10 minutes a day and to show what they did on our Facebook page. A few responded so I will be anxious to see how their week progressed.

Threads from Christmas!

Lorraine over at   Colour Complements    was having a sale and I could not resist. Do I have any idea what I am going to do with these? Not really, but they are lovely. I am trying to do a bit of clean up in my basement and ran across these. I will be giving a sampler of her threads away for my give-a-way. More information coming soon! (I PROMISE!)
