A Finish and a Start
Jingle Bell Santa-Janet Zickler Casey |
I finally finished a Santa and thought I would show it to you. I still have two more ornaments to finish in the basement-a heart and a Santa-but I could not wait to start a new project. The bottom Santa is called Christmas Light Santa. These are a fun, fast stitch. I may have him done before Christmas!

Stitch from Stash 2015-B July Post
Month: July
Spent:$1
Earned:$22(?)
Balance:$46
Elizabeth is another matter. I started her in 2012. Here is a picture of what she looked like at the beginning of the year:
The background has two layers of stitching as do the sleeves. She is on 24 count congress cloth and about 8" by 10". I don't know exactly because she is at the finishers...So what is she worth? Can I give myself $18? Please let me know if my totals seem correct!

Take a Stitch Tuesday-Two Weeks
This is my crazy quilt square ready for embellishment.
And here are my first two weeks of stitching.
The stitch in the heavier thread is the fly stitch and the one in the light yellow is the buttonhole stitch. Both are favorites for using in crazy quilts. It is hard not to just start doing stuff on this square, but I want to use it for this challenge. I have even started another crazy quilt square to give me another place to do the TAST stitches.

A Different Stitch
I have decided to try to get some serious work done on this piece. I spent the last few nights working on it. Have you ever heard of the Quodibet Stitch? It was new to me... It is the row of stitches above the white satin stitch at the bottom of the picture. Looks like an eyelet to me...
Have a great weekend!

Happy Dance!
The first picture is to show you a mistake I made right at the end. If you will notice the last three pearl beads were round instead of oval....Rip! Rip! Rip! But she is done! I started her December 2012 so Elizabeth took two and a half years. Not that I worked on her consistently! Now to figure out how to frame her.
