Z is for Zucchini

I was craving zucchini bread and decided it would be perfect for the last day of the A to Z Challenge.
I managed to get my 1200 stitches done on Reptiles! Yipee!
Now, should I start a new project for May? I need something that will be easy to take in the car. Or should I work on one of my many WIP's?

Y is for Year

Melissa over at    Measi"s Musings is hosting a SAL this YEAR for working on your WIP's before the end of the world. (I thought about finding something that I stitched in yellow, but it is time to post for this SAL.) Anyway, this will have a lot of photos of all my projects and where they currently stand.
Question of the Month: What is your longest running WIP? If you define WIP by something you are working on rather than something you plan on getting back to,my longest running WIP is Reptiles. Everything else is in my UFO pile...
If you want to see my original post HERE it is.

X is for X-Stitch

I know, I know. Everyone uses cross-stitch for x, but what else could I do?
I am no where near 1200 stitches for this month, but I am super close to a page finish!

W is for Warm

This little kit should be done but has taken me more time than I thought.
I forgot that this piece needed to be backstitched before I started the beading.

V is for Vertical

Can you even see the vertical stitching?

The black stitching on the left is Vertical Diagonal stitch. I love how Gay Ann has us do layers upon layers.

What to do for W?

U is for Underneath

I know most stitchers do not show their "backside" and you know I rarely do! This sampler is supposed to be reversible. Obviously, it is not. But I don't think the back is too bad.
Here is the front of the same section.

T is for Tall (Photo Heavy)

Tall Year Squared by Betsy Morgan is my big finish of the year. Thanks Diane S. and Mary D. for all your help and encouragement.
 Summer panel
 Fall panel.
 Winter panel.
 Spring panel.
 Lid.
Etui open with scissors fob and pin cube.
Several things I would like to mention if you are thinking about this piece. First, I would stitch on one piece of linen paying attention to the direction of the fabric. Having all the different colors is fun, but the construction would have been better with just one linen piece. Secondly, I would have used mat board instead of pellon to make the box. It is just too wobbly and so the panels bow and the lid does not stay on.
Thank you  Inspirations
It was from their Issue 93.

S is for Shakespeare

Well, Shakespeare's Peddler.  This is Here Lie my Needles and I really do love this piece.
But my eyes have a difficult time seeing the 40 count linen so it doesn't get as much love as I would like.

R is for Rhodes Heart

I love the Rhodes stitch and this is a nice variation made into a heart.
I did the first sample using Neon Rays for the heart.
This one I just used DMC floss. Both are nice. The pattern is from EGA and called For the Love of Stitching by Mary Bush. It is a Petite Project put out by the guild for members/chapters to use. My local guild, Mississippi River Valley Chapter
stitched it last month and is planning on finishing the project in May.

Two Letters: Q and......

First up is Queen since this series was made of Queen Catherine the Great. Ok She wasn't a queen but a Czarina. I had to find something!
Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching is hosting an Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop today. You go to her blog and find the first person and hop to everyone's blog to find the phrase. I don't think she put a Q in there, but you never know!
I made this little bunny ages ago and decided to send it to my mom for Easter. Not sure it arrived yet, but I hope she likes it!
Here is the next letter in Jo's phrase. Hmmmm.
If you want to continue playing, hop on over to https://ohsewcrafty.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Happy Easter Everyone!

P is for Pulled

I managed to finish all the pulled thread on this little heart. It went fast although I did it in the wrong place several times.
I am finding keeping up with this blog challenge and the #100dayproject on Instagram quite difficult. Must remind myself to do one or the other next year....

O is for Owl

This little Mill Hill bead kit should be done by now, but has been sitting by my bedside waiting for attention.
I am close to the beading part which doesn't look like too much work. Ha! Will it be done in time for W?

N is for Noah

I had this stitched ages ago and decided I needed to do something with it. I made a card and mailed it to an aunt for her birthday:

M Is for MH 1656

This piece is taking a lot longer to do than I had hoped. It is a lovely piece, but to make it reversible is difficult.
I am enjoying it though!
Bible Gateway

Malachi 1

A prophecy: The word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi.[a]
“I have loved you,” says the Lord.
“But you ask, ‘How have you loved us?’
“Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.”

L is for ( Here) Lie

Well, the phrase has an L in it. Still fighting my sinus infection. Taking an antibiotic and have chicken tortilla soup made. N is for nap....

K is for Knot

I had trouble with this letter. Finally decided to fudge a little and use french KNOT. Do I get a pass?
This is from my 2020 crazy quilt project. I think the circle needs something, but I am not sure what it is? Beads? Nothing? I have a bad sinus infection and I hope to get a nap in today.....
