I stitch on this piece on Sunday's when I visit my mother-in-law:
It is a fun stitch and I am relatively close to a finish. I'm using Victorian Motto Sampler Threads. I do have quite a stash.

I have been enjoying spending time on this piece. I must admit, the crescents bother me, but I can't put my finger on why!
Where I started Sunday night:
I was able to get Agnus Dei finished! Yipee!
I am debating on whether to hem stitch the edge or frame the piece. The easiest would be to frame it. Actually, I won't frame it. I will send it to my mom and let HER frame it.
What do you think?
My online ANG group sponsored a workshop called Canvas Candy Bowl.
Isn't it lovely? Here is more info about it.
Anyway, I wanted to stitch it because it is something you make into a shape! How interesting! But the colors did not call to me. I have discovered that I truly dislike kitting stuff from my stash even if I don't like the colors. So I ordered the kit. Then I riffled through my stash and changed the colors!
Here are the original colors:
I changed the photos to black and white to see if they will work:
Well, it was the International Hermit and Stitch Weekend and I forgot to take before photos...
What is IHSW? Do you run away and stitch? No, it is just a weekend where you purposefully take time to stitch. It could be an extra hour, an extra 15 minutes, whatever. You are supposed to post before and after photos, but whatever! It is the brainchild of the lovely Jo .
Here are my photos:
Agnus Dei is moving along:
I need to figure out a background stitch so it may go back to the corner....
What did you work on this weekend?
I have been plugging away on this in the evening.
Well, it is time for the SAL where we post our progress on things that are gifts, going to be gifts and/or were a gift... It is the brainchild of the wonder Jo from Serendipitous Stitching .
I have been plugging away at Agnus Dei.
I also made a peach pie for my my mother-in-law;It was pretty good. I prefer jam to pie so I will be canning some soon.
I so love the colors on this, but despair that I will ever get it done!
Where I was:
I made a mistake on the right hand motif in the center section..
So I spent the morning stitching time, ripping...Now I am ready to start again!
Just in time for World Cross Stitch Day August 13, 2021!
It is the new moon and so it is time to show a photo of our orts...Or what is known as the Totally Useless Stitch a Long.
Lots of little white bits from Agnus Dei and quite a bit from Royal Garden:
One of the borders is incorrect and I will be adding more purple to the ort jar. Hopefully I will have plenty of the floss I am using. This is another fun blog hop by Jo at Serendipitous Stitching . Each person has been allocated a Blogger to visit and write about, introduce her to your followers and try to find some stitching she might like. This can be something you've stitched yourself or a design you've seen online or at your LNS.
So here we go: my Blogger enjoys a wide variety of different crafts. Yes, she does cross stitch, but she also quilts and does pyrography. (I had to look that up...) She often joins Jo in her blog hops and fun SAL's. It also seems she has a thing for dragons. Oh and check out her tab under Painted Eggs! Intrigued? Well, here is a dragon that I would love to stitch and I think she might enjoy too!
(This is from Alison Cole's website, in case you are interested!)
Are you ready for your Blogger?
It is :
Well, it is stitched at least! I stitched this piece so I could have a strawberry to finish with my local guild next week. I finished it just in time.
I had hoped I would be able to finish Agnus Dei in July. No such luck.
Here is where I started on Agnus Dei:
And here is where I ended:
But I am getting closer!!!
