Take A Stitch Tuesday (on Thursday)

I have joined Sharon B on her TAST SAL the first two weeks but have not posted my progress here.
For information on TAST, go to  Pintangle             .
The first week was the chain stitch:
I am putting it in the grooves of the lace.
Week 2 is Fly Stitch and the Italian Border Stitch
I love the Fly Stitch and use it a lot, but the Italian Border stitch is a new twist. Basically, it is a French Knot holding down the "U" of the Fly Stitch instead of using a straight stitch. I see a couple of places where this would be great. I may even add a different color thread to make the knots.

TAST

Sharon B is hosting this wonderful challenge where you learn a new stitch a week or if you already know the stitch, work it in a creative way. The information is  here  .
I decided to just do a few stitches on this fabric I dyed and stamped a while ago.
The stitch from last week was Fly stitch and then this week was the detached chain. I will keep adding and see what happens.
I also did the same stitches on the 2020 block:
I have almost 20 more posts before I hit my 1000 mark. So I think I will give more information in February as that is when my give-away will be!

Take a Stitch Tuesday or TAST

I did not have time to post my stitching from last week but am including it in this week.
TAST is the brain child of Sharon B over at  Pintangle.
She does a much better job explaining but this is a stitching challenge to learn new stitches every Tuesday and then post them on the web somewhere(your choice!) The first stitches have been very basic, but are good ones to know. I decided to do a free form stitching project and just DO IT! I have looked at this challenge for years and get frustrated when I try to do a stitch on a project and it doesn't work and I have to rip it out. This way, I will just do the stitch and let it be.
The two stitches are running stitch and buttonhole stitch. I am using a long piece of fabric that is fairly narrow that I dyed and then painted. Not too exciting, but it is a start.

Take a Stitch Tuesday on Wednesday

I added these French knots, but I think it needs more.  But I keep looking at the "pink tulips" that are next to that row and feel they need some help too.  Thank goodness Sharon B at Pintangle has a lot of stitches to share.

TAST-Week 3 and 4

This is Week 3-Feather stitch.I used a wonderful thread from Colour Complements .  She has wonderful overdyed threads and I am so excited to start using them.
This is Week 4-Cretan stitch.  I see beads and lazy daisy stitches and french knots.  Will try to wait until they come up on the TAST rotation...
Here is what I have done so far. Here is the link if you want to join the fun:Pintangle

Take a Stitch Tuesday-Two Weeks

I joined Sharon B's Take a Stitch Tuesday Challenge (TAST).  You can find the explanation here .To see the stitch for this week, look here .
This is my crazy quilt square ready for embellishment.
And here are my first two weeks of stitching.
The stitch in the heavier thread is the fly stitch and the one in the light yellow is the buttonhole stitch.  Both are favorites for using in crazy quilts.  It is hard not to just start doing stuff on this square, but I want to use it for this challenge.  I have even started another crazy quilt square to give me another place to do the TAST stitches.
