Frustrations

 I had to spend a day at the hospital waiting with a family member. It was relatively routine and I knew it would be 6+ hours so I brought stitching. I started a new project called Sacred by Teresa Kogut:

But to me the colors were too brown so I pulled out my Mill Hill project Stalked:

I discovered that they had not packed all the beads into my kit. Sigh. Hopefully I can finish this another day. I do have extra beads in the basement.

It's so hard to get a good photo of how sparkly this is. I'm making this one for myself.

Lesson One is Done (kinda)

 

I need to bury some threads but I'm ready to start Lesson 2 on my Cabinet of Curiosity.

One Layer Done

 I am finished with the first layer on the brocade for Dawn to Dusk.

IHSW May 2024-End of Weekend

 Well, I was able to make progress on several things. 

The 17th Century Whitework Sampler has a mistake that I will take care of next time I work on it.

April is done on No Time Like the Present 

And I did some needle lace for my Cabinet of Curiosity

 Well, I have been a fairly monogamous stitcher for the month of May. Which is why those two pockets got stitched! Here are my photos of things I think I will work on this weekend, although I may just stick with one....

None are close to a finish so it is hard to decide what to stitch.

 Actually, the package was addressed to my husband and he said both sets belonged to him. I contacted my son and he said one pair was for me. I'm super excited as I know I need them when I work on embroidery or try to finish a project. Thank you son for a wonderful Mother's Day gift!
