Ready To Bead

I was able to get most of the stitching done on this piece. I need to put my initials on it, but it is ready to bead.

The beads will really make this sparkle!

I Finished a Project!

I finally got something stitched! It isn't a big project, but it is stitched.

I think I will be finishing it Pricilla fashion, in some sort of tray. I want to put it where I can see it, but want it be versatile. I will be looking around this weekend for a way to finish this.

Gifted Gorgeousness June

Well, I missed the real date, but Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching host a stitch-a-long where you post photos of things you received as a gift or are giving as a gift. I didn't think I had anything but I realized Reptiles was a Christmas gift in 2016!
So here is where I showed it last:

 As you can see, I have made it to the other side of this piece!

I still have a few more stitches to make 1200 for the Full Coverage Fanatics May challenge, but I am happy with my progress.

WIP Wednseday

I have been plugging along on this piece and I hope to have it stitched soon.

I took this piece with me to London and so I stitched a little every day on it.  It has been a fun stitch.

What Day is It?

I think I am in vacation mode as I have no clue what day it is....
First, thanks for all the lovely comments. That sand is wearing me down, but I just heard a tip on Fiber Talk. Patricia Goodson  suggests stopping every 20 minutes or so and doing something different for 5 minutes. You will be more productive if you try this. I am all for being more productive, so I will have to try this.

Hope you can see I am a little further on the sand. I really want this stitched and hanging by Christmas. There is sand all the way to the bottom of the shepherds crook on the left. Sigh. But a lot of it is half crosses. That should help, right?

I also worked on this piece to give myself a break from all my cross stitch. A long way to go before it is finished. Maybe by Labor Day?

I am Tired of This Project

Before I left for London, I realized I had too many projects in my rotation. I looked at them and decided I really wanted to have my Christmas stocking done this year. I figured if I worked on it every day, I might get it done before my birthday. Ha!
I think this is the last photo I showed on the blog. (I also post on Instagram,but that is another story...)

Here is where I am today:

I have made progress but I am so sick of the sand! I think I will work on something else this weekend. I am such a slow stitcher that I hate  to stop, but I need a bit of a break!

London!

My family did a vacation across the pond to London for 8 days. We had a great time seeing so many wonderful things. Les Mis was a favorite along with Westminster Abbey.

But I was really lucky and able to take a class at Royal School Of Needlework
It was Modern Crewel Embroidery with Chrissie Juno Mann
It was a beginners class and I did know the stitches, but I still learned a lot. I think any opportunity you have to take a class, you will learn something!

 It was at Hampton Court and I enjoyed the views.

My daughter came with and she explored while I was in class.
Hopefully I will get organized and be able to show some other stitching soon!
