Mill Hill Finishes

I decided it was past time to start my finishing for the year. I started with my Mill Hill kits as they are the easiest. First I placed them on fusible interfacing, the kind that has glue on one side. Then I iron them and then cut them out. Sometimes I get fancy and use felt and glue, but not this year...
Here they are all cut out.

 The last thing I do is cut out the picture that comes with the kit and place it in my stitching journal.

I am not very good about keeping notes on my stitching, but it is fun to look and see all that I have stitched over the years.
As far as the Nativity series goes, I still have 5 more to do! Two were on my list for this year, but never were completed. The other  3 are in my basement....

A Finish!

Ok. This wasn't hard to do since all he needed was about 2 dozen beads, but he is done! I can start( or shall I say restart?) a different Mill Hill bead kit...

Bullet Journal Stitching List(Long with photos)

My dd  introduced me to Bullet Journals and I thought it might actually work for me. I do keep lists and journals and I needed a way to keep a calendar and my lists together. If you want to find out more, try http://bulletjournal.com/ . It was where I looked.

Here is my list: 

 I like having a spot to mark when I have completed a task which is why there is a little box to the left of each project. (Why I put one in front of Reptiles is beyond me as that won't be done anytime soon!) These are just projects that I currently have started and want to see completed.
Joseph just needs some white beads and then he goes to the finishing pile.

 Blue SOTM(Flowers of Italy) needs two squares redone and the background stitch put in. The background is a pain and takes a bit of time. Good thing to do while watching tv.

 ANG is a totally new project that I can't show you. It is for the Chapter Project Book, maybe....ANG Chapter Project Books

The next two are Drawn Thread Sampler (DTS). If I would just do the smaller one, I would be close to finished. But nooooooo! I needed to do the large one too. And I can no longer meet with my stitching friend to work on my piece. Hopefully we can regroup and find a time to meet. This is too pretty to live in my basement.

 This is my felted bag. DD started it ages ago and did make it into a bag. I am redoing it.

 This is Reptiles. I have almost finished a page of it. I find it quite addicting once I start working on it. Do you think I can finish it in three years for my son's college graduation?

Several of these projects have hard due dates. The most pressing is the ANG project as it MUST be done by November 1. Blue SOTM should be worked on before the second week in October and I am supposed to have the felted bag finished by October 6. Drawn Thread is to stitched by March 2017(lots of time) and I want to get Joseph ready to hang for Christmas.
Sorry for such a long post, but this stuff has been rattling in my brain and I needed to get it out!  Do you all make lists and prioritize your stitching? Or are you one of those stitchers who only works on one project at a time?

Joseph Needs Beads

I am almost done with this little kit. I have two more from this series started in my stash, but I want to do a different on. Will show you my work on it soon.

Doing Some Mindless Stitching

Joseph is easy. I don't have to think or count too much right now.
As far as Starburst is concerned, I will have to rip it out. If I leave it, the wrong section will stand out more as I add the rest of the stitching. But no work on Starburst until I catch up on the year long project that I am teaching for my local guild. I did eat the chocolate bar though.....

I Have Fallen Off the Blog Sphere....

But I have put a few stitches on this piece.

My tomatoes are starting to ripen and I have green beans to pick. Most nights I am too tired to think, let alone stitch. This is just a short season and I will be back to "normal" soon.

Joseph Restart

This is a piece I started in January. If I get it done,  I'll have the basic Nativity set stitched.

Days 7 & 8

It is difficult to post every day, but I have managed to do a little stitching each day.
Continuing on the Nativity Trilogy, here is my start of Joseph.  I do believe I have the Three Kings, but can't find them in my stash.

 Today I decided I needed something bright so I started Kiwi: Owlets Ornament by Mill Hill.

Nordic Needle had a sale on Mill Hill beads kits and I managed to resist.  I have  a small amount of self control.
