Check Your Count!

Well, I started Bees in the Greenhouse on Silver Fox that I thought was 40 count. But I was struggling to stitch it with the DMC. So I checked. It was 46 count! So I decided to change my fabric rather than changing my threads.

I'm moving to 37 count Cloudburst by Legacy linens.

I will probably change the white DMC to a grey.

How Many Did I Start?

Well, I know I started Mary Fosh by Running with Needles and Scissors

Those hedgehogs- I started them this month:

I need to get them done
AC Bluebird by Sassafras Samplers

And a new needlepoint project - Hapsburg Lace Needle case by Tanya Berlin.
Hmm. Hopefully that will keep me busy for a while.

A Finish for Gifted Gorgeousness

I buckled down and finally finished my Baltic Easter Basket Cover by Avlea Folk Embroidery. This is a gift for my daughter. She is visiting this week and will take it with her.

I used Londonderry linen 80/3 for the hemstitch.

A Little Party

 Well, frogging party.

I made a mistake on Pour ta Fete. I have a new prescription for my glasses and I am having a difficult time seeing the tiny count:

Here is my fix:

A new Month

Well, I finished stitching on the Limonera Pear-Christine Burton. I now need to assemble it

I got the beads attached.
I have pulled Janette Kirkland -Queenstown Sampler Designs out.

I have decided to leave off the alphabets and then make it into a drum.

IHSW February 2025 Start Point

This is the third weekend of the month so we try to Hermit and Stitch.

I'm debating on whether to finish the border on Janette Kirtland and call it done or finish the whole piece:

I need to get some serious work done on Limonera Pear:

Gifted Gorgeousness February 2025

This is the SAL started by the awesome Jo over at Sersendipitous Stitching. Anything that is a gift, is a gift to be given or has the word gift....

Pour ta Fete by Lindsey Lane Designs counts as it is for a party! 😁

I haven't worked on this for a while as I am busy with my pear. I'll try to post a picture of my work soon

And here's my second side to the pear.

Adding the Detached Bits

I'm trying to work on my Harmony of Nature Casket but have been struggling. My needlelace leaves something to be desired. But I would rather have an imperfect piece than all the threads and box sitting around after I die.😂

Started the Black Work

I don't think I will have this done for my guild meeting, but I will keep plugging away at it

I wish I had put a sparkling thread in the center but oh well.

January WIPocaplypse 2025

Wipocalypse-check-in

Question of the Month: Tell us about the oldest WIP you have in your stash.

Hmm. I think it is Venetian Delight by Ro Pace. I started it in 2003 I think at the American Needlepoint Guild.

Here's the pieces I stitched this month:

Janette Kirkland -Queenstown Sampler Designs

Midnight Elegance Ornament -Debbie Rowley
Angel of Love by Lavender and Lace

Pour ta Fete by Lindsey Lane Designs

I also finished a few smalls. The large one is the Mabel Tuke small by Sassafras Samplers. The Quakers were by With My Needle.

Gifted Gorgeousness January 2025

I don't think Jo over at Sersendipitous Stitching is hosting this anymore, but I love the idea of posting things that are gifts, will be gifted or has anything to do with gifts.

This will be an ornament and I hope to make a couple and gift them. Here's my progress on Midnight Elegance Ornament -Debbie Rowley.

Because I Needed a New Start

If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn...

Midnight Elegance Ornament by Debbie Rowely

A small start on this beautiful piece. I'm hoping to make several, fully finish them and gift them at Christmas. Please don't hold your breath.
