People's Choice for March

The People's Choice SAL Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching hosts this SAL on the first weekend of every month. This month the prompt is SPRING!

I personally am so ready for spring.

A few weeks ago this is what it looked like close to my house. No flowers yet, but the snow is melting and the temperatures are above freezing. I will take it!

My piece for the month is Springhill. I am making progress on this piece:

I decided to do Montenegrin stitch on the row under the big vine. It is good practice and I like the texture.

There was some discussion on whether to stitch the eyelets on the vine or if it would be nice to do Jessicas. I like the Jessicas and I know how to stitch them, but do I really want to mess with them? I think a smyrna cross would look good too. And I have an urge to put a french knot in the center of every jessica....What would you do?

Thanks for taking part in The People's Choice this month. How appropriate the theme is too! I do like the Jessica Stitches but would not want to inflict all those French Knots on you!

What a lovely stitch! Jessicas with French knots sound pretty, but only if you don't mind doing french knots too much :)
