I Think It's Done

But I am thinking about adding beads. What do you think?

A Band is Done

It still needs beads, but that will have to wait until I finish the rest of the sampler.

Return to an Older Project

This project was started March 2025:

I pulled it back out and counted the center incorrectly.

It would be nice to have this finished in March of 2026.

A Little Stash

Kim is having a sale on charts and I made a few purchases. Check out the sales at Sassy Jack's...

I got Rusty Rhapsody by Rosewood Manor and Modern Folk Embroidery Tjeerdje and Geertje. They have been on my wishlist for a while. And I finally broke down and got the threads for the Britamar sampler. I have an idea for them...

Zipper?

I have never learned to add a zipper. Should I practice on this piece?

Blue Ribbon ANG Challenge

My local needlepoint guild has a challenge. You set your own challenge and shared it with the guild. I said I would finish six pages of Christian Henry by Sassafras Samplers and a panel on Harmony of Nature Casket.

I'm done with the challenge for Christian Henry:

In fact, I have almost finished the sampler!

Harmony of Nature, well...

Hopefully I will return to it soon.

January WIPocalypse Check In

Melissa's question is what is your oldest WIP in your stash.

Mine is definitely Venetian Delight by Ro Pace. This is what it should look like if I would ever finish it:

Ro Pace/Jean Hilton VENETIAN DELIGHT Needlepoint Pattern

I know why I haven't touched it. I don't like that it requires two pieces of canvas.  I doubt I will touch it this year, but I do plan to work on another old WIP, MH 1656 by Hands Across the Sea:

I need to do some ripping and finish the last third, but it is too pretty to abandon.

I fully finished my blessing sampler-SA Marsham by Sassafras Samplers:

And I have made serious progress on Christian Henry by Sassafras Samplers:

Harmony of Nature Casket is moving forward too:

Hopefully I can FOCUS in February and get my WIP list down. But I am thinking about another start....
If you have time, join me over on the FIBERTALK YouTube channel Sunday February 1, 2026 for a stitch in public day. We will be on from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. Who knows what kind of trouble we will get into.

Wipocalypse 2026

Wipocalypse-2026-kickoff

Not sure the link works, but if it doesn't, look up Measi's Musings for all the information about this fun SAL.

A short introduction - I'm an avid stitcher who loves all sorts of techniques. My plan is to play in my stash this year. So many projects, so little time!

If you looked at my last post, you will see I have listed 5 projects for the Tudor Rose Sampler Guild -MAGIC that I hope to finish.

Another WIP is Poppers by Kathy Rees.

Also, I hope to fully finish my blessing sampler before the end of the year.

A Finish!

I finished my blessing sampler today! It needs to be made into a pillow but that can wait for another day.

IHSW January 2026

Well, it is the first International Hermit and Stitch weekend of the year. This is the idea of Jo's over on Serendipitous Stitching. There's a Facebook page too with lots of lovely eye candy.

I worked on three things.

Poppers by Kathy Rees:

I'm debating on my color choices....
SA Marsham by Sassafras Samplers:
And Christian Henry by Sassafras Samplers:
The football game made it difficult to stitch but I managed to get a bit done.

A Gift

Sheri at Colorado Cross Stitch needed a thread which I had in my stash. ( I have stash!?!) I mailed it to her and she was so kind to send me this floss holder and thread winders.

So kind and totally unnecessary.

FiberTalk Made Me Do It

Well, sort of... I suggested we start sharing more needlepoint. So we are all starting a new project. Mine is Poppers by Kathy Rees. I'm changing from the original colorway to Colour Compliments conversion:

Original colorway above.

Here's my start:

Organize

I'm trying to get organized in 2026.

This is my box of silk floss.  I'll try to keep you posted.
