IHSW August 2023

 Well, I had a lot of time to stitch this past weekend.

 

Here are my pieces:

Saturday I took a class with Gentle Pursuits Designs through The Tudor Rose Sampler Guild

 It was a great class and I highly recommend Cissy as a teacher.

I also finished a square on Drawn Thread Sampler:

It is the center square in the photo. A little wonky close up, but if I am a few feet away, it looks fine.

I was bound and determined to work on the border of Mary Parsons:

Counting is very important on borders....

And then I worked on Susan Schlitcher 1845:

Those colors make me happy!

 I spent some time doing the prep work so I can finish this piece soon. Or at least that is the plan.

Gifted Gorgeousness for August

 Well, today is Gifted Gorgeousness day. This is where we post photos of projects that are gifts, will be gifts,etc. Go see Jo's post at Serendipitous Stitching to see and learn more.

Shimmering Dreams is Done

 I was able to get my Group Correspondence Course finished:

 I will send it in to be evaluated and then I need to figure out what I will do with this piece.

Well, August is Well Underway

 First, I had a significant birthday in July and so I started two big projects.

One was my casket from Thistle Threads. I haven't started the actual stitching-FEAR! But it is ready to go.

I also decided to start Susan Schlitcher 1845 by Queenstown Sampler Designs. I bought the kit from Kim over at Sassy Jack's 

I was going to center start, but decided against it. I'm using DMC floss for the majority.
