Last Friday I attended the International Quilt Festival in Chicago. It was tons of fun. I took two classes, one with Melanie Testa and one with Belinda Spiwak. The photo is a picture of the class with Belinda. It didn't photograph too well...Think I need a better camera. It is a puffy heart on wood and made with paint, canvas, muslin, and paper.
The class I took with Melanie Testa inspired me to try dyeing my own threads again. I hope to attempt that soon and post my results.
If you are close to a quilt show/festival, I highly recommend going. It is very inspiring and you never know what new stuff you will learn.

Hi Beth,
You can see it better if you enlarge the picture. Looks very sparkly/glistening! :-)
Is that some of your new stash that I see off to the left in the picture?
