A Little More Solar Flare

Here is a detail of the work I have done so far on Ro Pace's Solar Flare. I think the top of the piece is at the bottom. I love how it looks, but it takes a lot of counting!

Inside of Echoes Needlecase

Although I should be working on my challenge project for my local guild, this piece is easier to carry around and stitch. Maybe that is why I am making so much progress on it. Orna Willis has put out the next lesson for Squaredance. I will have to pull that canvas out and do some work on it next.

Promise of a Mystery- March

I am trying to keep ahead of my guild as we stitch Promise of a Mystery for our yearly program.

I dyed the threads myself except for the metallics.

Chili Peppers or Flowers?

My boys said that the red bullions looked like chili peppers rather than flower buds. I hope they are just hungry... I have one more flower to put on and then some vines and beads and...Rats! I still have plenty to do on this project. I was hoping to have a finish real soon.

Echoes Progress

I managed to get some stitching done during the football game last night. I changed the elongated cross stitch to my red fiber instead of the gold kreinik. I think it will look good once I get my pockets on it.

Squaredance

Here are my squares for the last lesson.

I still have a little more work to do, but this is lots of fun. Orna does a great job of combining threads and stitches in a different way to make a great design. Which is why I don't design as I could never think of the great combinations.

Dyed Threads

Last week I dyed some fabric and threads with some friends. I did a colorway called Fiery Blend. Despite my love for the color red, it was not my favorite colorway that we did.

See the threads at the bottom? It is a colorway called Tutti Frutti. The colors remind me of Easter Eggs. Yes,I rinsed all those threads by myself. I am totally insane. Now, what to do with all my beautiful colors?

A Goal Met

I have been working on Solar Flare and wanted to get the corner done before Orna Willis posted her next lesson for Squaredance. She posted it over the weekend and although I did not finish until Sunday, I did get it done.

Now to get Squaredance going so I keep up with the class.
