Mistakes Fixed

I think I finally remember how to do this piece.  It is very addicting.  I have got to finish it and not let it go back to the basement.

I do not normally link to other people's blogs for several reasons.  One is that I am too lazy-which is probably the main reason.  The other is that we generally know about the blogs that interest us the most and I don't want to bore you with something you have already discovered.  Having said this, I wanted to share a link to a lady who mainly does mixed media but who is working on this amazing needlework piece.  Her name is Julie Fei-Fan Balzer and here is the link to her site:  Balzer Designs I think you will find it worth the peek!

Another Ro Pace Piece

 I had put Solar Flare away with great intentions of finishing it.  When I asked my kids what I should stitch next, this was the piece they wanted to see.  I was happy to pull it. I was stitching along when I realized that something was not right.  It took me a good hour to figure out that I had been using the wrong colors, not just this week when I restarted, but whenever I had put it away.

I was not happy, but I removed the threads.  It is now ready for me to start stitching again.  Sigh.

Ghost Dancer Finished

I put the last beads on Sunday so I had two days to spare!! I will be spending some quality time with Elizabeth this week, or at least until I decide what to pull up from the basement..

Adding the Beads

I found the correct color of beads in my stash and started adding them to the center.  I think it adds a nice touch to the piece but my family says that I must add some to the theresicas...I think they are right.  Will I get done before July 8th?

Not much stitching

I have been helping with VBS this week and have not had much stitching time.  I could not think yesterday so all I did was work on the background until I ran out of thread on my needle.  While I have a little energy today I will rethread it so I can do some stitching tonight.  FYI: Gay Ann Rogers mentioned that she is thinking about stitching Catherine the Great.    Something to add to my collection....
