Son's Quilt
When my dd made her quilt several years ago, my ds started one too. One thing led to another and we did not get his finished until today! I was clearing my basement and dd suggested that we get this done. Ds is no longer interested in needlearts. Yes, he is the one who beaded and stitched. So I told him that I would put the border on and quilt it for him. It is not perfect, as my quilting skill leave much to be desired, but it is done. Now I need to start the quilt for my oldest who will be leaving for college in the fall.

My "Small" Project
Yes, this is Heirloom Stitching Sampler which is anything but small. My problem is the other two projects that I am currently stitching (Ghost Dancer and Elizabeth)., are really big or require a bit of attention or both. Heirloom is narrow and on a scroll so is fairly easy to cart around. I am thinking about starting a Mill Hill bead kit as I have a few (cough, cough) in my basement. I really need a real small project and I DID finish my coin purse!

The Queen Returns
I decided to bring Elizabeth out again and work on her a little each day. Why? Several reasons. I saw someone's Queen almost done. Made me want to see mine done. And Gay Ann is having a stitch-in on her private plane!! Go to her website and see all the details. Gay Ann Webpage I am not sure when she will be flying by neck of the woods, but Elizabeth and I are ready to go.

Off-Topic Crazy Animals Sketch
My kids told me to post this photo. I am taking an online class with some friends and one of the assignments is drawing and painting a quirky animal totem pole. I am so behind that I have no clue what week that assignments was...Anyway, I had some time and an ad from my New Mexico magazine made me want to try. This was my quick sketch. My kids added the microphone and the pocket protector...
