I have been working on this in the evenings while my family listens to Lord of the Rings. I changed the colors as I love having it very red. I tried to have one row of the partial Scotch stitch with DMC 3799, but it was too dark. I used DMC 815 (burgandy) instead. I like it.
I am using the DMC 3799 for the smyrna cross and over-stitch as seen in the photo above. This is a fun piece and I am bound and determined to finish it this year.
