Puzzle Purse Threads

My dd helped me pick these colors for one version of Jean Hilton's Puzzle Purse.  I am sure I have more than enough for my bag.  But what color should I use for the canvas?  I hope to use brown for the borders with lime green and teal as my main color choices.  Any thoughts?

Slow Spring

I am trying to work on Spring Splendor rather than start another new project.  It is hard as I am getting very tired of this piece.  But I am determined to get it done before I start Puzzle Purse.  Or at least that is what I say today.

Friend's Heart

These little hearts stitch up so fast!  The basketweave in the center is a little dull, but it is good for times when I want to stitch and am too tired for anything difficult.
I have to put Midnight Star canvas on a frame.  Looks like it will be on black!  I want to get a little more done on Spring Splendor before I start Star.  A little motivation....

WIP and Some Stash Enhancement

See!  I did get some work done on Spring Splendor this week!  Not nearly enough, but I hope to get that leaf on the left done and move over to the one on the right.
The fibers in these two pictures are the same, I just placed them on different color canvases.  You see, I ordered Gay Ann Roger's Midnight Star: Gay Ann's Midnight Star Sale and then headed to Designer's Desk in Geneva, IL with dd and some friends.  When buying the threads, I thought I would stitch it on the black canvas, but now I am leaning towards the tan.  What do you think?  I can always paint some of the white canvas I have in the basement if you can think of another color....

More Heart Progress

I love working on these little hearts.  Once you are in the correct spot, it is easy to get in the groove of stitching.  While looking through my stash, I realized I have at least two more to do.  Should I add them to my Crazy Challenge?

Lily of the Valley

I had hoped to get the stems in before today, but no such luck.  The flowers were easy.  I have been told the stem is a pain.  Slowly but surely...

My Carry Along Project

I started adding beads to the parts that I have stitched.  I still have one other section to stitch that I keep for short waits when I cannot get my beads out.

What I Did Today...Not Needlework

I love getting mail.  Real mail.  Not junk mail, bills or college info(my son has been getting tons of it).  Because I like getting mail, I figure other people do too so when a friend suggested that we get together to do art, I knew what I was making.  Mail.  Lots and lots of mail.  I got twelve pieces done and one mistake.  My goal is to get all these mailed out before we get together again in April.

This is Gay Ann Roger's Love and Friends Heart.  I could not resist starting a new piece despite all my WIPs.  I did start on GARs Elizabeth, but she only has one eye.  Not much to photo so maybe next week I can have something to show on it and Spring Splendor.

Another Leaf

I have been busy rinsing fabric from a dyeing project and have had not desire to stitch on this piece.  But I forced myself to work on it.  I have two more leaves to do, but I had thought of waiting on them to do the Lily of the Valley flowers in the center.  Then I read the directions and stared at the piece for a bit.  When I finally decided to work on the lily flowers, my stitching time was gone.  My hope is to take some time after I find the bottom of my sink; it has disappeared under a tower of dishes.
