Working on What You Love

I often get caught up in the excitement of new releases, projects that my friends are working on, etc.

But I was looking at my list of things to stitch and I realized that only one is truly calling my name: Modern Folk Embroidery's 2024 SAL:

I "should' be working on my 17th century casket. I "should" be working on my Sampler Book. I "should" be finishing projects. But this is my hobby. I will stitch what brings me joy.

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop

Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching is hosting this fun blog hop. We sent her a photo of something we would love to see stitched and she sent them out randomly so we can hop around and see who received our Valentine.

Here is the one she sent me:

Isn't it pretty? I love the Cupid charm in the center and the hemstitch band. Hmmm. Wonder who stitched this? And who is the designer? Just Nan?

A Restart

Well, this is Modern Folk Embroidery 2024 SAL.

(The photo is sideways, not that it matters much.) This is where I stopped January 31, 2024. I was struggling with the threads I was using. I decided this is a very large project and I needed to be happy stitching it. So on Saturday I restarted and here is my progress:

Same fabric-Pink Chocolate by BeStitchMe . But I changed to Vikki Clayton's silk, which are going so much better. I want to get to the point where I can stick some of the red color in before I stop for the month.

What Month is It?

I'm way behind in my posting. It's how life goes... Here is my calendar for January:
