I made this little Mill Hill Bead Kit as a gift for a friend. Her birthday is coming up and I thought she might like this little box.

Trying to Organize

First, I do need to take out the mistake in Spirit. It bugs me and I see it every time I sit down to stitch. Which is why I was in the basement and not upstairs stitching on it.

I stopped at Wally-world this morning to get a container to start organizing my Mill Hill Kits.
Here is what I started with:

 This container held the mess.

 And this one was the one I bought.

 I found that this box had more than just Mill Hill bead kits too....Shepherd's Bush needle rolls and a few other things.
Here is what I ended with:

I don't like the second box as the lid can't be placed on it. Does anyone have a good way to store the larger Mill Hill kits? Because, yes, I have more! They are the Christmas ones....

C is for Christmas...

I have this box labeled Christmas and hoops but it is mainly Mill hill Bead kits.

The package underneath is a  Threedles pattern. Under all of that is more Christmas projects.  I was too embarrassed to show them all....

B is for....

Bead kits!!!! These are just a few of my non-Christmas bead kits.   I thought about laying out all of my kits, but it was too embarrassing. This will have to do.

Days 7 & 8

It is difficult to post every day, but I have managed to do a little stitching each day.
Continuing on the Nativity Trilogy, here is my start of Joseph.  I do believe I have the Three Kings, but can't find them in my stash.

 Today I decided I needed something bright so I started Kiwi: Owlets Ornament by Mill Hill.

Nordic Needle had a sale on Mill Hill beads kits and I managed to resist.  I have  a small amount of self control.

This Year's Christmas Ornaments

I finally finished these three ornaments for my tree.  Two were supposed to be pins, but I don't wear pins.
All are Mill Hill bead kits.  Holiday Tree Snow Charmer is the snowman.  Next is  Kris Kringle and then my favorite, Joyful Angel.

I, like a crazy woman, joined the Crazy January 2012 challenge.  The idea is to start 15 new projects on the first 15 days of January.  Hey!  I could have  done 31  new projects!  But when I finished these three Mill Hill projects, it made me realize that this challenge is not so crazy.  I do finish things and I have gotten close to 15 done this year.  (I don't count things as done until they are framed or finished into something. That is why I haven't listed my Promise of a Mystery as finished yet.)  I may have to change my definition of finished for this challenge, but we shall see.  I hope to list them on a sidebar today.

A Finish and More Promise

I finished this a few weeks ago and gave it to a friend. It is a Mill Hill Bead kit called Hot Stuff. She tried to stitch it herself but said it was too stressful. I found it lots of fun. I am trying to get more done on my Promise of a Mystery. The ladies in my EGA said they wanted more than one stitch this month. My goal is to get June, July and August done. That should keep them busy!!!

A Few Finishes

My son and I finally finished a few Mill Hill bead kits that we had laying around. He did Proud Penguin while I did Downy Dove and Tree Snow Charmer. Only the snowman will be an ornament. My dd has taken the dove as a pin and ds put a magnet on the back of the penguin. Sigh. I still need two more ornaments for Christmas. I had hoped to have that job done early.

My Other Project

I have been carrying this project around since January. It is close to being done. Just need to add all the beads. It is a Mill Hill Beads and Buttons called Cappuccino.

Snow Charmer

I finally put this little kit together. It is called Poinsettia Snow Charmer by Mill Hill. I think this will be the only ornament I get done this year. Sigh. Maybe next year.

What I did This Weekend

We took a road trip to see my DH family and I got a lot of stitching time in the car. This is called Harvest Pumpkin and is a Mill Hill bead kit. I will need to find something else to take with me as I am at the beading stage and I don't like to do that in the car.

Don't Look Mom!

I finished Jeweled Joy, a Mill Hill bead kit earlier this week. My little camera doesn't do it justice. The colors are very bright and vibrant. I think I will give it to my mom. It is supposed to work up as a pin, but I'm not sure she would wear it. I think I will add a string and make it an ornament. I can add some points to my stash reduction list, start a new Mill Hill bead project and cross a Christmas gift off my list. Yeah!

Finished for March

Well, I haven't posted in forever, but I have been stitching. I finished this Mill Hill bead kit-Shamrock Bunny- a while ago. I still need to add it to the Pixie Picket Fence, but I figure I can wait until February.

I am doing Gay Ann Rogers 12 stitches a day challenge. I am trying to finish Orna Willis's Jerusalem 2000. Yes, I have been working on it since 1999. It is a beautiful piece, but I have gotten bogged down several times. But I can do 12 stitches a day! I want to finish this piece so I can start on a new one with a clear conscience. I also want to sign up for the new ANG Cyberworkshop, Heart of the Cabin. So many temptations, so little time.

Another Finish

I finished Frog Pond before March 21st although I have not had the opportunity to post about it. I went to my LNS and purchased the frame and popped it in just on Monday. I really like this kit although it had a lot more beading than I originally thought it did. My boys picked it out ages ago and I think they are happy to see it finished.

I went on a stitching retreat with the Tri-State Needlearts group last weekend in Wisconsin. It was so much fun to stitch and not have to worry about laundry or lunch or kids. I did miss my dh, but I know he would have been bored with all us ladies sitting and stitching. I worked on my Orna Willis Jerusalem 2000 piece. It is an ANG Cyberworkshop class I took before my daughter
was born. I am missing some silk thread which I hope I will discover in my stash. If not, the sky must be ripped and redone. I am so close to finishing this piece that I hope to have it done before summer. We shall see...

Works in Progress

I have been busy trying to finish Gay Ann Roger's Mystery in a Corner. I am working on the border and when it is finished, I will post a picture.

This is a photo of Frog Pond, a Mill Hill bead kit. Yes, I almost always have at least one of their kits started. (Right now I have two.) I finished the stitching and need to add all the beads. My goal is to have it done before the first day of spring... Will I make it?

Mill Hill Violin

I stitched this bead kit for Sam's Christmas ornament. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season.

I have a picture of Janet Casey's Snow Cone Santa which I have finished stitching, but the computer seems to have eaten it. Maybe I will try again tomorrow.

Mystery in a Corner done....almost

As you can see I have almost finished MIAC. I am trying to do a tent stitch border so that I won't have the expense of matting the piece. The centers do not show it very well, but I used DMC 210. The photo makes that color look white. It looks very nice in person. I would love to see all the finished MIACs from Gay Ann's classroom in person. I bet they are all stunning. I am following Cynthia advice and putting it aside for a while. I am working on Janet Casey's Snow Cone Santa right now and it is very addicting... I will see if she will allow me to post my progress.

This cute pin was stitched by Sam. It is a Mill Hill bead kit called Dazzling Dragonfly. It has been sitting in Sam's "to do" pile for a while and he finally decided to finish him up. I think I will have to steal it from him... Just joking!

Sam is currently working on a beaded bug for a friend. When he gets it done, I will post it.
