It's Time to Hermit!

It is the third weekend of the month so it is time for the International Hermit and Stitching Weekend.
I think Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching heads this up but I think most of the activity takes place on Facebook. You don't need to stitch all weekend, but just post a photo of where you started and where you ended up.
I am not sure what I will be stitching this weekend. I did start early today as my DH was working at his mom's today. It was too hot to go out and exercise or garden so I played inside.  I had finished this piece a while ago and decided to take time to get it fully done! Here Lie My Needles by Shakespeare's Peddler.

I got my inspiration for finishing from Priscilla as I got an enamel tray from Michael's that I chalk painted and then added  a ruffle. I also added a piece of tatted lace across the top and some antique buttons around the piece.
What will I stitch this weekend? Not sure. I am really making progress on First Christmas Stocking and  I hate to lose momentum on it. I am not going to be able to start a new project until I get it done so I think it is what I will be working on. Here is where I am now on it:

Your finish looks fantastic, I hope it's placed somewhere for all to see!

Nice work on the finish. I read the description in Priscilla's voice! She does make me laugh, especially her home tours and "vintage chickens" all over.

IHSW was originally Joysze's baby but since she is not blogging or stitching at the moment I stepped in and now run the FB group and provide a linkup for those not on FB!
