A Few Flower Beads

I enjoyed adding all the little flower beds, but wonder if I need to do leaves of some sort...Got to think about that one....

Squiggles on my Crazy Block

I felt the lower corner needed some stitching, so I took a break from beading and stitched these lines in.  I think I found what I need to start a spider and I need to work on the bee head.  Not nearly done yet!

Another Jewel

This took a while as I added the jewel and then removed it as it looked wrong.  I may move to adding pearls on and then add another jewel.  It takes a bit of time to do so I tend to not stitch rather than start a new one.

Heirloom Sampler

I managed to get through the numbers while I was with my local EGA stitch in.

WIP Elizabeth

This picture was taken after 40 minutes of stitching.  I need to find my Heart instructions from the basement as I know I took notes of how to add beads.

Beading Elizabeth

Elizabeth is my main project currently.  She is so close!! I hope to get a start on the main necklace tonight.  If I remember correctly from the Heart of Elizabeth, that is the most difficult part.

5 Minutes of Stitching

These are my bee wings for my bee on my crazy quilt.  This first picture is where I started.
This is after 5 minutes of stitching.
This is when I finished.  I picked it up and put it down a few times, but they are ready to cut out and attach! Just a few minutes makes a huge difference.

15 minutes on Elizabeth

Can you see what I did?  I finished the veil behind her arm and stitched her hand.  It isn't much, but needed to be done.  It took 15 minutes because of changing threads and starting and stopping. Tomorrow I will show you how much you can get done in 5 minutes.

WIP-Elizabeth

I was asked at my guild meeting how I got so much done.  I thought it was funny as I don't think I DO get much done.  But then I thought about it.  I do try to stitch a little each day.  It may not be on a big project, or one that I really want to get done, but I do try to stitch a little.  So I thought I would join Gay Ann Rogers in her challenge to stitch a little on Elizabeth every day and post a picture to show you what 5-15 minutes of stitching does to a piece.  Then you see what a few minutes a day does to those UFO's that are lurking in your basement!

Now for the Beads!

I think I need to start beading on this piece.  The bee needs a head and legs.  Oh! And wings!  I need to make his wings! Then I see beading on this piece.  But first I need to get ready to teach a small project for my local guild.  And I need to get Elizabeth ready for her beads!

WIP-Elizabeth

I am still plugging along on the background.  The little cross stitches add a lot of dimension to the piece.  I think I have some stitching to add the the shoulder area and then it is on to the beads!  I think I need to do something to the background by her skirt and arms too...A little more veil, I do believe.

I refrained from purchasing Catherine from Gay Ann Rogers.  She is beautiful and would be fun to stitch.  But I know she would end up in the basement, at least right now, as I have some other pieces that must get done. I did not need to add to my stash.

Stash Enhancement

This is Mary Corbet's fault. She had a give away on her blog (which I did not win) for Colour Complements .  Lorraine was having a sale and this is what I purchased.  I do have an idea for these threads....Aren't they lovely?
I should not tell you this, but I will.  Gay Ann Rogers is getting ready to reveal her Catherine.  Why shouldn't I tell you?  Because I will not be able to purchase her as I am super busy with college students and gardening this weekend.  But Monday is a whole different story! No, Elizabeth is not done......
