This picture was taken after 40 minutes of stitching. I need to find my Heart instructions from the basement as I know I took notes of how to add beads.
I found this to be the hardest part of the whole piece. I put on beads, I took off beads (while holding my breath so I would not disturb the stitching underneath). I am still not really happy with mine. You can see mine: http://stitchinginnc.blogspot.com/2014/05/elizabeth-finished.html
I too found the bead necklace to be the most difficult part. The spacing is difficult because you build each jewel from the inside to the outside. I took mine out quite a few times and like Mary Ruth, I'm still not totally satisfied. You can see mine: http://hokkaidokudasai.blogspot.jp/2015/03/work-in-progress-wednesday-getting.html
