An Abandoned Project

This isn't really a WIP, but I haven't worked on it in ages. Does that make it a UFO?  Anyway, I pulled it out to stitch on with some girlfriends this past weekend:

I don't think this is quite done but I am not sure what to do. And we decided it looks like a face...I must fix that. When I get back to it.

New Project

I had started this a while ago. Dyed my own fabrics and was able to get wool from a friend who has a stash. I am currently appliqueing the circles onto the fabric.

There will be lots and lots of stitching on this piece.

Ariane Zurcher

is the creator of the piece. I highly recommend her videos!

It's September 1!

Ok, I know most of you are doing Sampler September and I had really planned on doing that too. After all, I do have a sampler to finish... But my friend Cheryl

encouraged me to do Sewing September Challenge. Since I really don't sew, this is quite the challenge!

I decided to tackle Ariane Zurcher's

Rock Gardens: Japanese Rice Bag. Or at least, that is what I am calling it!

I am using some fabric that I dyed. My daughter's cat Gimpy is supervising. My plan is to stitch on it a little every day. Let's see how long that lasts!

By the way, if you haven't seen Ariane's YouTube Channel, I would highly recommend them. She is a left-handed stitcher and gives a lot of helpful hints.
