This was my first try at fixing my mistake. I thought I I did coral knots and wove around them, it would look nice. But that didn't quite work so I thought I would do coral knots in a pattern:
After ripping it out twice because my stitching was so uneven, I decided I did not like how it looked.
Redid the coral knots in Grandeur, a silk pearl #5 and then did a twisted weave too on either side of the coral knots. I like how that looks. Not perfect, but much better. My ground fabric was starting to fray and I needed to stop messing with it.
I started the last row of people in this sampler. Still have 5 "rows" after that, but I think this will get done before the challenge is over in January!

Congrats on finding a way to fix it!
Glad you were able to find a way to work around the "accident". Too often when I have a mistake, I put away the piece and work on something else.
I like the final "fix", Beth. It looks good.
