I started this as one of my Crazy January Challenges, but it won't get done in time. I like it and I love the Needlepoint Silk that came with it, but how do I do the background? Basketweave? Something more open? I am not sure what I will do with it, but the background will need to get done.

Beth, what color is the background thread....what is is going to be when it is done? Then I can give you some ideas!
The needlepoint did not come with a background thread...I keep thinking the pale yellow that is used for the center of the leaves. Not sure what to do with the piece. It is small-3"x2.5". A pillow? I decorate for seasons and it would be great for spring.
