My local EGA had their biannual needlework show yesterday. My dd worked the show with me and had her eye on this piece that one of the gals was selling. My dd thought it was gone, but found it in the trash can and rescued it. It needs some work and it looks old. Can someone point us in the right direction for repairing and cleaning this? (Sorry for the bad pictures. It is raining here and I wanted to get this posted.)

I don't know anything about ecclesiastical embroideries, but you might check with Mary Corbet at her website Mary Corbet's Needle 'n Thread. I believe she has an email contact also. She has done quite a few ecclesiastical embroideries herself and I'm sure she could point you in the right direction if she doesn't have the answers.
I don't have any suggestions to offer you, but that is a really cool piece of needlework! I can't imagine someone just throwing it in the trash. I hope you will keep us updated on what you manage to do with it.
