It is an FFO!

There IS a SAL for finishing our objects! Ten Hour Stitcher
is the one hosting the SAL and she has a few rules. Obviously, we should not be pulling things we finished years ago for this. It should be things we recently finished. It is supposed to be cross stitch or stitching related, not sewing, knitting or crochet. (I am guessing my needlepoint will be fine and also any embroidery.) Other than that, I think the objective is to finish things!
I had hoped to have a Valentine's finish for this post, but that did not happen. Hopefully they will be done before Valentine's Day!
But without further ado, here is my FFO:
I think I stitched this guy last year, but never got him finished. I have another Santa to FFO before I will allow myself to start another. And a few other things to fully finish. It would be nice to get them all done for March!

A Finish and Rotations

First, I was able to finish Pine Cone Santa last night!
Now to finish him into an ornament! I have some hearts I need to do too, so hopefully they will all get done in January.

Rotations:I go a little crazy if I have too much started, so I plan on working on a  big project at a time. Right now Reptiles is up so I can get 1200 stitches in this month. Once I get that many stitches in, I will concentrate on Drawn Thread Sampler. I always keep a small travel piece, normally a Mill Hill, and one small to medium piece to stitch in the evening. Here is the issue:I want to get those Magi done and ready to hang in 2018. I must work on Tall Year Squared and samples for a class I am teaching. How to get it all in? Hmmm. I will need to think about it some more.

Pine Cone Santa

Did I ever tell you that I received this in the mail? Hmmmm. I started him on Christmas Day and have made steady progress on him.
I see his nose needs a little adjusting and is not as round as Janet Zickler Casey's Santa. She has quite the collection of Santas on her  website.
Yes, I have quite a few. If I can, I hope to order the Nutcracker Santa and hopefully next year SNS will offer the new one she is teaching at ANG called Uncle Sam Santa. Her Liberty Train looks awesome too!
I have one sick child at my house with the flu. Yuck! The college boys came home and shared something nasty. Most of us are up and doing, but it has gone through the house twice! I think I will be getting the bleach water out and cleaning today!
Anyway, Happy New Year blogger friends! I hope to post my stitching plans for 2018 tomorrow.
