I put the last beads on Sunday so I had two days to spare!! I will be spending some quality time with Elizabeth this week, or at least until I decide what to pull up from the basement..

Adding the Beads

I found the correct color of beads in my stash and started adding them to the center.  I think it adds a nice touch to the piece but my family says that I must add some to the theresicas...I think they are right.  Will I get done before July 8th?

Theresicas Finished

I think I am done with all the theresicas. They were great fun to add and really made the piece.  Now I need to go through my beads and decide what to add to the center.

Adding Theresicas

Pots finished

Theresicas
I finally got all the basketweave done on this piece and started adding the theresicas. I really enjoy stitching them and deciding where to place them.  I showed it to my family to get an opinion and my dh said he really likes this piece.  That surprised me as I thought they wouldn't like the color scheme.  My original plan was to give it to my mom when I was done. Will have to wait and see.

Lots of little pots

Before

After
I have done a little work on Ghost Dancer.  If I counted correctly, I have two more small pots to stitch.  The rest remain empty.  I am anxious to start the next step on this...It made me feel better to see the before and after pictures... I am making progress.

Ghost Dancer Progress

This is taking me a lot longer than I thought.  All those pots with basket weave!!! But it is getting done a little at a time.

Some Pottery

I have been working on my middle child's quilt and gave myself a break yesterday.  I stitched some more pottery and was looking forward to moving a little quicker on this piece.  No such luck.  The rest of the pots need basketweave.  The only good part is that it is easy to work when I am tired.

A Little Bit of Crazy

This is my crazy quilt block. It needs some more work.  Sharon suggested a doily to break up the line on the right and the central motif.  If I can get some time, I will try again.
I finished the borders on Ghost Dancer!!! Now I need to start filling the pots with stitches.  Good busy work.

Borders Taking Shape

Still have lots of stings, but I am getting some work done on this.  The borders are stitching faster and I hope to get them finished this weekend.  Depends on the weather: the kids have a piano contest and if we get lots of snow, I will stay home and stitch on this.  If not too much snow, out comes the coin purse!

Excuse All the Strings...

I finished the outlines for all the pots.  I have a feeling adding the accents to them won't go as quickly...But before I did that, I wanted to start on the border.  So much fun!!! I love specialty stitches.  Maybe I will get some time tonight while watching the Olympics.

One Quarter Done-Kind of

Not much time to write, but here are the outlines for the pots for Ghost Dancer.  Lots of counting!!

Dancing Moving Along

I have actually made some progress on this piece.  I did not realize that it is due to Ro Pace in March. Yikes!  I am very worried about running out of threads so I may just order what I think I will need.  My other choice is to substitute DMC floss for some of the threads.  That way if I run out, it is easy to get the thread I need.

This piece has been difficult for me to count.  When I put the center Jessicas in I realized the couching was incorrect on three of the legs.  So they had to be redone.  One is still wrong, but I will leave it.  If I get an extension, I may go back and redo that part.

Counting issues made me decide to put the pots in and then the border.  (Ro has the border put in first.) Once I get all the outlines for the pots in, I will put the border in.  I am thinking of using beads for the center instead of French Knots so I will put them in later too.

Another Leg

I had hoped to have finished these legs by now, but I got distracted by a different project.  (Hopefully I will post a picture of it next week-finished!)  I like laying the threads but am having a terrible time counting the outline.  I know the next step is little red bullions which I am looking forward to stitching.  Or is it a Hilton stitch next?

Another Quarter Done

The Christmas decorations are down in my house even if they are still up on my blog!  (Will fix that next week.)  I brought Ghost Dancer out and finished another quarter.  This section has been difficult for me to count.  Hopefully I will be able to get more done this week.
My mom's quilt should be back soon from the quilter.  I need to get the binding cut so I can get that project done.  She has been asking about it...

One Sail done on Ghost Dancer.

I finished one sail!  It was harder than expected and I made some mistakes and had to undo some stitches. I like how the sail floats over one of the waffles.  This is fun and very challenging.

Ghost Dancer by Ro Pace

I should be canning tomatoes, but I thought I would do a quick post.  I am taking Ghost Dancer with Cyberpointers as a Group Correspondence Class through ANG.  I did not need to start another project, but this has a due date!  Having those usually helps me finish a project, if you know what I mean....
Back to the tomatoes.
