Yard Work

I spent most of the day helping my husband with yardwork. Hopefully I will get some stitching done before I collapse.

Here is a picture of a daffodil from my yard:

I love the frills and orange color.

Other Stuff

Besides stitching, gardening season has arrived. I never realized it, but I really don't like strawberries. This is sad, because we almost always have a bumper crop.

Thank goodness my husband likes them. I may make some jam before the season is out. I do like strawberry jam!

We also picked up my daughter from the train station. We are getting her ready to do an internship so she will quickly depart again. She would like to have a car for the summer. Anyone have an extra? ;)

I also baked some bread.

What I am Doing Today (Photo heavy)

I got some work done on Elizabeth, although you can't tell as it is a cloudy day here.
The rest of these are garden pictures.  I am canning, drying and putting stuff up for winter.  I am posting these photos in the hopes that I can play with them at a later date on a kaleidoscope program.  Until then, this is my art for the day!

Gardening Season

These are my Amish Tomatoes that are too small to can.  I dry them and use them all winter.   I am also canning green beans and tomatoes.  Not as much as some of you ladies, but my tomatoes are just starting to ripen.  I love this time of year although it cuts into my stitching.  By evening I am so tired that I don't dare do anything that requires much counting.
