Paisley Passion

Well, I got a note from Genevieve (Orna's helper) saying she could send me some Ultrasuede to finish Squaredance. And since I have nothing better to do (ha, ha!) I started a new project. That is not exactly true. My local EGA is having Deborah Forney teach Paisley Passion on July 9-11 and I have pre-work to do. Hopefully I will get some serious stitching time in soon as I have a lot to do!

I'm an Idiot

Well, I was able to finish all my stitched squares on Squaredance, but I made a huge mistake. I was cutting the ultrasuede that goes between the stitched squares and I did not read the instructions properly. I cut them too big!!! Now I am shy half the ultrasuede. Sigh. I think I will email Orna and see if she has some scraps she could send me. Or if need be, new pieces to cut.

Moral of this story: Always read the directions carefully!

Ukrainian Nyzynka

When I need something to stitch, I bring this along as it is easy to stop and start. I am past the counting part and it is just adding color now.
I even took it camping as it will need to be wished when I am totally done.
This was a workshop class that I took with my local EGA. I believe I am the only person in my guild who has worked on it. Too bad as it is a fun piece.

A Finish and More Promise

I finished this a few weeks ago and gave it to a friend. It is a Mill Hill Bead kit called Hot Stuff. She tried to stitch it herself but said it was too stressful. I found it lots of fun. I am trying to get more done on my Promise of a Mystery. The ladies in my EGA said they wanted more than one stitch this month. My goal is to get June, July and August done. That should keep them busy!!!
